Connect Your Trezor Device

Use the provided USB cable to connect your Trezor device to your computer. Ensure your device is powered on. Trezor Suite will automatically detect your device and prompt you to begin the setup process.

Step 5: Initialize Your Trezor Device

When prompted, choose the option to create a new wallet. Follow the on-screen instructions to initialize your Trezor device:

  1. Create a PIN: You will be asked to set a PIN for your device. This PIN will be required every time you connect your Trezor to a computer. Choose a PIN that is easy for you to remember but hard for others to guess.

  2. Write Down Your Recovery Seed: Your Trezor device will generate a recovery seed, which is a list of 12, 18, or 24 words. Write these words down on the recovery seed card provided in the box. This seed is crucial for recovering your funds if your device is lost or damaged. Do not store this seed digitally or share it with anyone.

Step 6: Confirm Your Recovery Seed

After writing down your recovery seed, Trezor Suite will ask you to confirm it by selecting the words in the correct order. This step ensures that you have correctly recorded your seed.

Step 7: Update Firmware

Trezor devices often ship with outdated firmware. Trezor Suite will prompt you to update the firmware if necessary. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the update. This process ensures your device has the latest security features and improvements.
